Your Successor
Championing Your Legacy
Joe is the Managing Partner of Vast Hill Partners. He manages all fund activities and plans to relocate to operate the business that Vast Hill acquires. Joe is proud of his entrepreneurial roots. Following in the footsteps of his entrepreneur parents, Joe is inspired to also operate a business and create value for customers, employees, and communities. Whether starting a new product development club on campus as a college student, buying a car wash while working a day job, or leading a team of peers on a treacherous hike in the southernmost part of Chile, Joe has always enjoyed taking ownership. Joe started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Lazard where he advised blue chip energy clients on some of the largest and most complex M&A, capital structure, and strategic advisory assignments totaling over $20B in transaction value. He later worked at Blue Wolf Capital, a special situations oriented middle market private equity firm, deploying nearly $300M of capital and working directly with the CEOs of his portfolio companies in the healthcare and industrial services sectors. Most recently, he was an early stage venture investor at Telstra Ventures where he helped founders and entrepreneurs scale their ideas into reality, including companies such as Crowdstrike, GitLab, Airspace, and others. These experiences have allowed Joe to partner with some of the most high performing teams and the most ambitious, visionary individuals. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with honors and an MBA, both from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Fellow and majored in finance, entrepreneurship and operations. On the weekends, Joe is often found exploring the outdoors, trying new recipes in his kitchen, and working on his golf swing.
